On February 1^st, the Waterloo School of Optometry welcomed Dr. Murray Turnour as the new Director, International Optometric Bridging Program (IOBP).  He succeeds Dr. Susan Cooper who has been Director of the program since its inception in 2004.

Applications for School Director Sought

The School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, Canada, invites nominations and applications for the position of Director of the School. The incumbent will also carry the title of Associate Dean of Science, Optometry.  The University of Waterloo is located in the attractive two-university community of Kitchener-Waterloo (population 350,000) in southwestern Ontario, about one hour west of Toronto.
New Faculty Member Denise Hileeto

On April 1, 2012, Dr. Denise Hileeto will join the faculty of Waterloo’s School of Optometry.  She will be appointed to a 3-year probationary term as a clinical associate professor.  Dr. Hileeto comes to Waterloo from the University of Valladolid’s Institute of Applied Ophthalmobiology, where she has been an assistant professor.
