The application deadlines for September 2013 admission have not yet been set. But please be aware that for September 2013 admission applications, OAT scores must be taken from 2011 to July 31, 2012.

The online application system is available for September 2012 admission. The on-line application and payment must be submitted by 11:59 pm, September 26, 2011. Within three weeks of completing the on-line application, you will receive an email from the University of Waterloo with the Application for Admission to the School of Optometry as a PDF attachment. Please watch your email for the application. We encourage you to apply early. |

1) Deadline by which the Application for Admission to the School of Optometry (except two confidential assessment forms) must be received at the School of Optometry.
2) Deadline by which your interim transcripts must be received at the School of Optometry.
NOTE: You must have met the online application deadline of September 23 to be able to meet this required date.

Deadline by which the two confidential assessment forms must be received at the School of Optometry. Interview selection will be completed. Unfortunately, if not invited for an interview, students are no longer considered for admission. |
| December 31, 2011 |
Deadline by which which the OAT must be written. Scores do not have to be received at the School by this date; however, this is the last day to write the OAT for September 2012 admission. |
| January 31, 2012 |
Deadline by which all final fall (September to December) 2011 transcripts must be received at the School of Optometry. |

All admission decision letters will be mailed. |
| May 31, 2012 |
For those admitted, deadline by which all final winter (January to April) 2012 transcripts must be received at the School of Optometry. |

You must have all your undergraduate prerequisite courses completed, with grades appearing on your official transcripts by the end of May 2012 deadline. Courses completed between the end of May and the beginning of September will not be considered by the Admissions Committee. Applicants who have not completed all the prerequisites will not be admitted. There are no exceptions. There are no conditional offers of admission. |
